Sprout Social is one of the best known social media management platforms: teams use it to publish posts, answer social inboxes, and report on performance across their social profiles. BrandSight is a focused AI brand visibility tracker: it checks how AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek mention and cite a brand. Both tools touch brand monitoring, but their price tags sit in very different ranges. This post compares them on price alone, using only prices listed on each tool’s own site today.
Sprout Social prices, plan by plan
Sprout Social lists four self-serve plans on its pricing page, plus a custom Enterprise tier, and a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. All prices are per seat, per month. The plans are:
- Essentials: $79 a seat a month billed annually, or $99 a seat a month billed monthly, with up to 5 social profiles, optimal send times, post-level reporting, and Trellis, Sprout’s AI teammate, with 100 credits a seat a month
- Standard: $199 a seat a month billed annually, or $249 a seat a month billed monthly, with up to 5 social profiles, 10 brand keywords per group, and the Essentials features
- Professional: $299 a seat a month billed annually, or $399 a seat a month billed monthly, with unlimited social profiles and 10 brand keywords per group
- Advanced: $399 a seat a month billed annually, or $499 a seat a month billed monthly, with unlimited social profiles and 20 brand keywords per group
- Enterprise: custom pricing
Social listening is not in the base plans: Sprout lists Listening as an add-on to the Standard plan and up, and the pricing page does not publish a separate price for it. Trellis Plus, with 1,000 credits a seat a month, costs $28 a seat a month billed annually, or $35 a seat a month billed monthly.

What the price gap means in a year
The gap shows up at the first paid step. One seat of Sprout Essentials on annual billing costs $948 over a year. One seat of Standard costs $2,388 a year, Professional costs $3,588 a year, and Advanced costs $4,788 a year. BrandSight Pro at $19 a month costs $228 over a year, and BrandSight Agency at $49 a month costs $588 a year. So one seat of Sprout Essentials costs more than four years of BrandSight Pro, and one seat of Sprout Professional costs more than fifteen years of BrandSight Pro. The tools do different jobs, because Sprout is a full social media suite, while BrandSight only tracks AI search visibility, but for a business whose main need is knowing what AI chatbots say about its brand, BrandSight is the cheaper option by a wide margin.
Which tool fits which team
Sprout Social fits teams that publish daily, answer social inboxes, and report on social performance. BrandSight fits businesses and agencies that want to know how AI chatbots talk about their brand, which competitors get mentioned instead, and what to fix so AI search picks them up. If your main question is what ChatGPT says about your brand, BrandSight Pro at $19 a month answers it at a lower price than any Sprout paid plan. Check both pricing pages before you buy, because prices can change.
