The popular VR workout platform Supernatural is back on Meta’s headsets as an early‑access offering. After a pause in new content earlier this year, the service has relaunched as an independent product, with subscription rates set at $20 a month or $200 annually – the same pricing it carried when it first launched in 2020.
Developers say they will add fresh workouts each week and bring back many fan‑favorite sessions from the app’s back catalog in the coming weeks and months. The first wave of new workouts is slated for release at the end of the month. “It’s not every day you get to make a comeback, but thanks to the Supernatural community, that’s exactly what we’re doing,” said CEO James Senior.
Early‑access users already have access to thousands of workouts, including a number of remastered classics, and can choose from hundreds of music tracks. A brand‑new virtual environment set around a glacial lake has also been added. Up to four people in a single household can share one headset, opening the door to friendly competition. Existing members will be able to transfer their points, badges and fitness streaks to the new version.
The company is rebuilding its real‑time workout platform that lets friends exercise together online, though that feature remains in testing and will not be available immediately. A mobile companion app is also in development to help users track their fitness progress. Additional virtual environments are expected to roll out in the weeks ahead.
Supernatural, alongside Beat Saber, helped define VR’s early‑2020s boom, and its return suggests both titles continue to thrive.
