Elon Musk announced that beginning next year he intends to give one share of SpaceX to each child living in the United States. With roughly 72 million minors in the country as of July 2025, the distribution would represent about $10.5 billion in stock, according to CNBC.
Musk, who leads both SpaceX and Tesla, says the shares will be transferred through Trump Accounts, the tax‑advantaged investment accounts created for American children. Responding to a post by Brad Gerstner, a co‑founder of Trump Accounts, Musk wrote, “Thanks for helping enable this,” and added that the giveaway “will be the first of many.”
