Anthropic has introduced Claude Duet, an AI agent positioned as a rival to Meta’s Muse and OpenAI’s Dots. The company describes the tool as a “research preview” that is now available as a standalone app for iOS and Android, as well as through the Claude web interface.
Claude Duet runs on Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 model. According to Anthropic, the assistant begins each day by delivering a concise briefing that highlights the most important updates from the user’s linked applications. Throughout the day it monitors those apps and only notifies the user when something truly requires attention. Users can also assign tasks directly to the agent, allowing it to act on their behalf. The announcement was reported by The Verge.
