Amazon has added a camera to its high‑end Echo Studio speaker, unveiling the Echo Studio with Home Camera as part of a wave of new product announcements. The device’s built‑in camera can keep an eye on a room when the user is away, feed visual information to Alexa, and will later support video calling through Fire TV devices. The model builds on the redesigned Echo Studio that debuted last year, retaining the sleek new look while adding the visual component.
In addition to the camera, the speaker receives several audio enhancements. Amazon describes a feature called Advanced Room Adaptation that continuously adjusts the sound profile to match the acoustics of the surrounding space. Another update, Adaptive Volume, automatically raises or lowers the speaker’s output to maintain consistent listening levels. The Verge provides the full story.
